Emma is our foundation bitch here at Thom's. She came to us
from Melana Kennels in Georgia and was bred by
Barbara Rhine and Melissa Campbell.
Emma is a wonderful German Shepherd. She has a comical nature about her
as well as a serious side. Physically she has a presence. 24 inches tall and at 75 pounds she is not "slight". She possesses a front which is superb. With reach, strength, correctness. Her head is simply beautiful...almond shaped dark eyes which exemplify the "look of eagles". Firm ears, nicely set. Muzzle in proportion to skull size. No missing teeth. Beautiful dry neck, well muscled and a nice length. She has a firm back that is level in motion.
Color is striking, pigment superb. She has a close but thick coat. Her croup is very pleasing, nicely following her top line and gradually meeting the tail set without drop off. Her thighs are well muscled and strong...with the upper thigh bone being slightly shorter than desired which does result in a lack of desired drive in motion. Rear angulation is very nice without being lacking or overdone. She is clean both fore and aft. Chest is well developed. Shoulder angulation is excellent, and well laid back. Her temperament is a joy...she is inquisitive, and intelligent.
