	Breedings here at Thom’s are researched well in advance and usually for years at a time with much time taken to researching pedigrees, potential stud dogs and the paring we may be interested in. Here at Thom’s we see all GSDs as “real GSDs” and will look to all lines from all countries for addition to our breeding program. We select dogs based on vitality, health, temperament and structure (and in that order) as we feel without the three things before structure you do not have a dog. We believe strongly in supporting our puppy buyers as well as anyone with interest in this breed.

	Hi, my name is Cherri Pursell and I am the owner of Thom’s GSDs. Like many dog fanciers I have been in love with the GSD from early childhood and cannot imagine a better breed for companionship. Thom’s has been in existence since 1993 and I have mostly concentrated on learning and researching everything I can in order to produce the very best dogs possible. My special interests are canine nutrition and researching health issues that effect this wonderful breed. My daughter Beth is now very much a part of Thom’s and we strive to produce the very best puppies possible.

								We take our litter planning very seriously here at Thom’s. We will only use individuals that we are sure are healthy enough to warrant being bred. Passing hip results are a must as well as no evidence of debilitating elbow disorders. Dogs we choose for breeding, either ours or selected stud dogs, must have a stable, sound temperament and sound structure as dictated within the GSDCA accepted conformation standard. The bloodline of a dog included in our program will be heavily studied and researched for possible positives and negatives so that we are aware of not only the risk we are taking, but the risk we are also taking on behalf of our puppy buyers. Thom’s fully stands behind the bloodlines we choose to incorporate into our line, or we wouldn’t use that bloodline. Every effort is made to breed for the very best GSD temperament that the world has come to love, at this time we have not attained any working titles however, that does not mean we find such training or skills unimportant, we are just time impaired.

	The dogs here at Thom’s are our beloved family members. We also already have quite an extended family with the arrival of our limited amount of litters. We enjoy the frequent updates from our puppy buyers and celebrate their accomplishments with their new families.
